Main Medical Centre is moving to a mixed billing clinic model by 17/4/23. The main reason behind the change is that Medicare rebate has not kept up with inflation or the real cost of providing medical care.
From mid April consultation fees will need to be paid in full by the patient and then the patient will receive a rebate from Medicare.
Bulk billing will still be available for children under 16 years of age, people with a healthcare card and our veterans.
